Still the best but could be better. I lowered backyard from a 5 to a 4 on account of the last few visits I have had. The level of service has gone down a bit. I've had my last 3 orders messed up and the occasional rude folk at the drive through. That being said they are still the best. My official boycott of all crap on a bun McWendyKings still withstanding, Backyard is always the way to go. Just make sure you talk a little slower when you order and never ask for two orders of chicken tenders they will literally throw two individual tenders in the bag....I'm sure this was a one time mistake (at least I hope) The food quality is always amazing. Near five guys taste without the heavy price and the wait in line (woo who for drive thru's) and an unbeleivable pineapple chicken sandwich. "If you can't grill it in your own backyard, come to ours." That should be their slogan. Catchy aint it. Hey BB, you guys can pay me for that one later.

we went through the drive threw , there was a car in front of us at the window, as we waited all of a sudden seemingly out of nowhere was a large woman in my car window saying . that'll be 18.75. She scared the he** out of me. My sister was digging in her purse getting the money while the employee waited outside my car window and I saw that she had come out of the side door of the building. She was kind of pacing while waiting and finally my sister got out a $20 and I handed it to the employee, she took it , stepped back, and went "ugh" kind of loudly. I guess she had not liked waiting for us to get the money out , we did not like having someone jump out a side door at us demanding money, it was very strange and it frightened me when it happened. We did not the attitude either, so when we got to the window a different employee handed me the drinks , but my sister was saying she would not eat the food after the strange ordeal , and what we saw of the kitchen through the door was not pretty either. I said really I would just like the money back. She told me wait a minute, and she went and came back with the woman that had jumped out the door at us, she asked what she could do for us and I told her that I just wanted my money back. She asked if I would tell her why and I said "no". She told me , give me the drinks back and I will give you back the 20! I thought if this was the one in charge it was a waist of time and breath to even try and explain it. I did not eat the food here, I would not eat the food here, and if I were the owner I would wonder why they are collecting money from the side door! UPDATE; The franchisee contacted me and stood behind the way the employee acted and made excuses for them. Again...... find a better place to eat, try Kellers BBQ, in the same parking lot.... they have great food , same pricing , and a super nice staff! That is where we went when we left here.

I stopped in yesterday and had a terrific burger and iced tea for $6. The burger was a good sized patty of lean ground beef without pink slime, excess fat or gristle. The lettuce was a leaf, not chopped. The tomato slice looked like a tomato! Service was fast and friendly. Only outside dining is available in this double drive thru joint, but the outside tables were clean, as was the restroom Good food, fast and cheap. I wish we had these places all over town!

Great burgers, quick service and friendly staff. Just be careful with the lunch rush.

*Drive Thru* My gf and I have only been here once so far, but OMG-Delicious! We got a burger and a milkshake and fries and all of it was heavenly. Too bad, we're both on a healthier diet now, so eating here won't be as frequent. :( Nice way to get something a little more upscale compared to other fast food places.

True backyard taste! Reminds me of summer cookouts growing up. Try the shakes and cobblers

I used to really like this place but after today's visit I doubt I'll be back. The ground around the seating area is COVERED in bird poop. I tried to navigate my 5-year-old daughter and my son in his stroller around the droppings so as not to ruin our shoes or the wheels of the brand new stroller. It is just disgusting. I don't think they ever clean the grounds! Now for the food. This was the second or third time they messed up my order. I asked for waffle fries and got seasoned. My daughter's burger came without the cheese she asked for. They don't give ketchup unless you ask. Come on. I have had enough. I only gave an extra star because the burgers do taste great when they're done right.

Honestly I had never heard of Back Yard Burgers but thanks to Yelp, I found a great tasting smoky flavored burger and I was not disappointed. This place was a bit difficult to find but as long as you pull into the Walmart parking lot, you will find it. I decided to order the Classic because I wanted to get the original taste of their burgers so I kept it simple. The burger was cooked just right so it still had the important juices flowing thru the middle. The actual patty was plump and delivered good flavor. Instead of fries, I chose to go with the onion rings and I couldn't be happier. You're getting large onion rings covered in real batter and they were not greasy. Their menu is quite extensive so you may hesitate a bit when you order but if it's your first time, I would stick with the burgers. There's no interior dining area at this location, just outdoor dining tables. You can order using the drive thru or the walk up windows.

For me a fast food burger has only one name. I love Back Yard Burgers and Five Guys, but the latter is more of a restaurant to me, where you go and eat there. But when I'm grabbing and going... Back Yard Burger is my #1 choice. I don't even remember how McDonald's and Burger King's burgers taste like. Back Yard Burgers taste like the name, like they are made on a BBQ on a Sunday afternoon... even when is a Wednesday and you are in a rush to get to your afternoon meeting. Thanks goodness I have one near my work and one near my house.

I eat here all the time. Good burger, good value. Easy in, easy out. I think it's better than Five Guys burger and certainly less expensive. For a fast food burger, it's my favorite.

Looking for a quick meal, we stopped here after being intrigued from the street. I had never heard of Backyard Burgers before, but apparently they're all over the Southeast. There was no wait and our food order was ready within a few minutes. I had a loaded baked potato (butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon) with a side of coleslaw, and my husband had a burger (not sure which one, but the ingredients were fresh, including some awesome guacamole!). We also shared some of the best seasoned fries ever and strawberry cobbler. I could definitely see myself coming here just to curb a sweet tooth. They had a couple different cobblers and you can order it with a side of ice cream. Make sure to check your bag before leaving! They forgot the butter and sour cream for my potato (after asking ME if I wanted them) and my husband's fries. Wasn't a big deal because we were eating in the parking lot, but I would have been irked if I got all the way home. If you're looking for an alternative to fast-food, definitely check this out!

The quality of the food is great. The flavor is way better then what a fast food place would have. It literally taste like a burger I would do in my back yard. The prices are a little higher then most fast food places would be but its worth the price for black angus beef. In addition the service was quick and accurate. Which is more then I can say for the other fast food places. I had a big order and it came out complete and accurate. I absolutely recommend it. Can't wait to go back!!!

I had friends from out of town. They wanted some fast food, but were not in the mood for having the McDonald's tasting food. So we went to Back Yard Burgers. They enjoyed their meal. I remember I used to come here for lunch with my friends just go get a different tasting burger.

I have been going to this location since they opened and now I am a regular again because Bite closed up. I like them more than 5 Guys because of the variety, but cost, quality and quantity is the same. My favorite is a blackened chicken with slaw but recently the Mahi Mahi fish sandwich is good, which I like with Lizano Salsa.

much better then the mystery meat they have at McDonalds and im not nauseous after. also the fries are better, they arent loaded with a pound of salt. Personally I like five guys burgers better, or even my own. but when I've been out and coming home hungry this is right by my house. . they have two drive throughs to speed things up. I cant really recall if I ever had a messed up order. im sure its possible but rare. I try not to eat this type of food to often, but just the fact I cant recall a screwed up order is a plus. Then again my memory isnt the most reliable

I like my food fresh and this place is great for that. It's also the last one in the Orlando area. When I started working in the Orlando area, someone at work suggested this place because the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. Well, you can tell that when you eat the burgers. They've changed a lot since I ordered my first burger there, and I really liked how they opened a store with a dining room on South OBT but that's gone. Lots of people go for the biggest burger but I want the best taste and Back Yard Burgers always manages to put a smile on my face.

So delicious! The burgers are higher priced than other fast food burger joints, but I think these are also much better. Plus you really get to choose how you want it made and the toppings. Gotta get the seasoned fries so it's def worth it to make it a meal! Drive thru, or outdoor seating if you've got a little more time. At the top of my list when I get a burger craving!

Just another burger joint... Better than other burger chains.

Liked this place until I got food poison last year. I normally went through the drive thru and the service was slower than your average burger place, but the burgers are supposedly made fresh so that's that expected. I really want to go back but just can't bring myself too but the burgers are really good for a fast food chain.

I don't tend to like burgers but when my boyfriend orders one they are very juicy! I typically order the chicken sandwich which is very good. The fries are also to die for. But recently I have been ordering the chicken salad. It is so good! I love the variety of vegetables on it!! The only thing I don't like about it is the extra charge for condiments.

Tried Back Yard Burgers for the first time because we had coupons. The kids loved it! The funny thing is that it really is like a back yard home-made burger... Imperfectly shaped, kinda falls apart, but you can add things to your liking... I like them better than Five Guys too! Don't tell my Honey I said that ;-) that's kinda blasphemous for me to say haha... But... since I'm not in CA anymore and I can't get an In-n-Out Burger whenever I want... a Back Yard burger will do.

Give me a tangy strawberry lemonade and buffalo chicken sandwich from Back Yard Burgers anytime! Cheap, simple and tastes so much more clean and "real" than other burger joints. I have been to this location about ten times over the past few years since it's in my neighborhood. They are always fast and friendly. If you're in this area and need something quick, going here will work. :) Like Janel G. said, I actually prefer their burgers to places like Five Guys too. There's just something about the taste!

Not a bad burger place and definitely heads above other fast food joints. The burgers are all cooked to order at this little place where the only options are drive thru or walk up and sit on some tables outside with a lovely view of cars whizzing by on 434. I guess I'm just not THAT impressed with the burgers, although they win lots of awards. The chicken on the Hawaiian was dry but they try to mask the fact with lots of condiments. The burger I had seemed a bit overcooked for my taste. The seasoned fries are very tasty though. Not a bad option if you are driving by but I never go out of my way for Backyard's burgers.

Multiple locations, but consistent in flavor and service. The burgers are always cooked to perfection and really do taste like the burger off my grill. However, a bit more salty. The selection/variety of burgers AND chicken sandwiches abound! you can sometimes catch a coupon in the clipper and entertainment book...

First time here, and it was yummy! I went with a couple of people and we enjoyed our meals. We had the Junior burger, which was described as a much better whopper. (I think that means she liked it!) The other had a Texan burger, which was really just a cheeseburger on Texas toast. He said it was good, nothing really special though. I really enjoyed my bacon cheeseburger as did the others (I'm good at sharing). There's the option of waffle fries or seasoned fries, I opted for the seasoned ones. They are really reminiscent to Arby's curly fries flavor. We waited a bit longer than usual in the drive-thru, so they bumped our fries up to a large, which I thought was nice. We all agreed that we would go here again! :)

If you wand a good burger, real quick, you cant go wrong here. Its not the best I have ever had, but it is good, hot and fast. the Service at the drive through is some of the best I have experienced in Orlando.

It gets busy here so you may wait. its a walk up and/or drive thru only joint so don't expect to sit and eat there. The burgers taste like off the grill. They have a variety of selections unlike Five Guys. For a fast food burger its probably your best bet for flavor. Remember folks...its called back yard BURGER... I can't speak on the chicken.

This location has good service and is good for in and out specialty burgers. Very underrated burger, with a value menu. The waffle fries are good and crunchy, how I like 'em. Attractive, well constructed, quality hamburger

Exactly what it sounds like. Tastes like real Backyard-grilled burgers (along with that little bit of over-grilled-dryness,). Better than any of the typical fast food burger places.

Alas, this BYB has really fallen down on the job. The last few times we've visited the burgers have been overcooked & dry and the fries have been bad flavored (their oil probably needs changing) and very greasy. Heck, even the sodas have been flat. What a shame that they couldn't be reliable. We won't be back for another try.

I first went to this joint in Orlando a few months back while visiting family. The husband had the Hawaiian Chicken burger and I had the bacon cheddar burger What a YUMMY YUMMY BURGER, you get a " top notch burger" for a fast food price. You cant beat that =) now months later a coworker told me they opened a location in Dallas 10930 N Central Expressway Dallas, TX 75231

I guess Back Yard Burgers would fall into the "fast food" category, but in my opinion the food is a step above anything that seems made at a fast pace. They have some great burgers...not too thick and meaty but not thin as pancakes either. They have plenty of varieties and toppings available, as well as some killer fries. You have your option between seasoned and waffle fries and both are delicious. My favorite thing to get here is actually not a burger, but the hawaiian chicken sandwich. The chicken is grilled (not fried) and seasoned to perfection, with a slice of pineapple to top it off. The prices are fast food cheap, but the taste is definitely much better.

Man I can't believe I forgot about this place. They have the best damn burgers at a "fast food" environment. The burgers are large all beef with all the fixings....yum yum.

Best fast food burger anywhere. It compares with the quality found in restaurant burgers. Their hot dogs are also very good. Their fries are lacking in quantity and quality, otherwise I would rate five stars.

This is one of my favorite fast food joints. The cajun chicken sandwich is my favorite. It's not too spicy and has cole slaw on it. You can walk up or drive thru.
